This is mostly because a vest can easily be made to curve and shape—it can ever-so-easily blend both traditional masculine and feminine elements.<\/p>\n
Our VigilanteLabs line, founded in 2009, is the intersection of two sewing workshops, the Denver Dressmakers dressmaking and corsetry workshop with the AJ Machete & Sons menswear<\/a> tailoring business.<\/p>\n And nowhere is this more clear than with our vests.<\/p>\n The vest in the pics features a built-in corset with spiral steel boning.\u00a0 This enables the vest to have a skin tight fit without hiking up or bubbling and allows for wear without a shirt (which is a fun look, especially with one of our beautifully tailored wool capes).<\/p>\n The fabric for the piece is a gorgeous wool and cashmere chalk stripe suiting made in Italy (but, as with all of our pieces, 100% of all of the tailoring and handwork is done in the USA).<\/p>\n We make these suits for local and long distance clients using our famous muslin fitting process (we mail you a cotton mock-up and you send us digital pics of yourself wearing it).<\/p>\n
