Vest and pant suits are a perennial favorite in womenswear.
This is mostly because a vest can easily be made to curve and shape—it can ever-so-easily blend both traditional masculine and feminine elements.
Our VigilanteLabs line, founded in 2009, is the intersection of two sewing workshops, the Denver Dressmakers dressmaking and corsetry workshop with the AJ Machete & Sons menswear tailoring business.
And nowhere is this more clear than with our vests.
The vest in the pics features a built-in corset with spiral steel boning. This enables the vest to have a skin tight fit without hiking up or bubbling and allows for wear without a shirt (which is a fun look, especially with one of our beautifully tailored wool capes).
The fabric for the piece is a gorgeous wool and cashmere chalk stripe suiting made in Italy (but, as with all of our pieces, 100% of all of the tailoring and handwork is done in the USA).
We make these suits for local and long distance clients using our famous muslin fitting process (we mail you a cotton mock-up and you send us digital pics of yourself wearing it).
