She liked a the modern backless style, but liked the slender “natural form” Victorian style dresses as well.
The silhouette features a mini-bustle cut from lace and silk with a lace drape below.
At first, we wanted to design a bolero to go with the jacket, but we settled on something a bit longer and warmer—-that could be worn with blue jeans as well down the road.
The jacket has an awesome cowl draped neck with decorative buttons.
The inside is lined in plush cotton flannel.
One of our favorite parts of this dress though is the color.
Combining a color with ivory, as on this dress, makes for a piece that has more character and individuality than a purely white dress.
The soft purple of the dress gives the dress a graceful vintage look.
A colored dress is often much more flattering as well.
A solid white tends to magnify the figure.
