We handle the attire for so many weddings, some right here in Colorado, and many in places such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and Scotland.
For some of the weddings, we make the dresses, for some the men’s suits (through our website www.DenverBespoke.com) and for a few we do both the attire for the bride and the groom.
But no matter where the customer resides, getting married Old Hollywood style is a popular choice.
Some customers love the Hollywood of the twenties (with slim bias dresses, feathers, and lace), others Hollywood of the thirties and the forties.
In each case we can craft a dress that matches the style and can even replicate the dresses that the stars of decades past wore on the red carpet.
The featured dress in this post is made from iridescent red silk duppioni.
The fibers in the dress are interwoven with black, creating a beautifully textured dress that changes colors in the light.
This piece was completely custom made with a draped bodice and straps for a totally couture look.
The sketches show another outfit in progress.
A boatneck dress with back ruffles and a custom retro tuxedo with high-waisted wide-legged pants and a jacket and vest that pinch in at the natural waist.
Each piece is completely custom made here in Denver, Colorado, using our muslin-fitting process.
We first sew a mock-up of the dress from cotton muslin and either mail that to you, or fit it on you here in our studio. Long distance customers can send us digital pics of themselves trying the pieces on.
Then we alter the patterns to fit exactly and to exactly represent the look and style that is most flattering.
